      Relatively quiet hurricane season comes to a close


      Columbia (WACH/NHC) -- November 30th is more than the end of a month; itâ??s the end of hurricane season.


      The 2013 Hurricane Season will come to a close at midnight tonight with thirteen named storms and one storm that never got stronger than a tropical depression.


      Here in the Palmetto State, Tropical Storm Andrea was the only storm that had any affect on us.


      Andrea brought rain and wind to the state on Friday, June 7th.


      The storms that reached tropical storm status where:


      -Andrea


      -Barry


      -Chantal


      -Dorian



      -Erin


      -Fernand


      -Gabrielle


      -Jerry


      -Karen


      -Lorenzo


      -Melissa


      The two storms that reached hurricane status where:


      -Humberto


      -Jerry


      The only storm of concern that did not make it to a tropical storm was Tropical Depression Eight.
