WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson offered veterans another opportunity to get some helpful information on jobs and benefits Wednesday.
The South Carolina Republican organized a veteran jobs fair at the West Columbia National Guard Armory.
Wilson's office says representatives would be on hand from organizations including the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as local employers and veterans' groups.
The event also held classes on resume writing, and Wilson planned on presenting the Silver Star Award to Spc. Joseph N. Tate, a Vietnam veteran who lives in Elgin.
Last month, Wilson held a similar event at Aiken Technical College in Graniteville.
