Richland County Council reach $1 million settlement with fired admin
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH)-- The battle between former Richland County administrator Gerald Seals and the county council is finally over, but it came with a million dollar price tag.
The agreement included a $800,000 cash pay out, which was a year's salary, along with six months of health insurance coverage.
The council voted back in April to fire Seals for allegedly sleeping on the job and taking major actions without input from the council, among other things.
He was hired by the council in July 2016.
