Richland Sheriff seeking armed robbery suspect

Two men are wanted for robbing a local store.

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Two men are wanted for robbing a local store.

A spokesperson with the Richland County Sheriff's Department said just before 11:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 1013 Percival Road, Richland County Sheriffâ??s Deputies responded to a robbery call.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said one of the suspects entered the business and stole two cases of beer â?? the victim confronted the suspect in the parking lot; a physical altercation occurred. Sheriff Lott said that once the fight happened, a second came to assist the first suspect and confronted the victim.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the first suspect was wearing a red baseball cap, green long sleeve shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes; the second suspect was wearing a camouflage hat, camouflage jacket, and camouflage pants. Sheriff Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.
