Rock Hill woman wanted as a fake fed

"Carma Ariel" wanted for impersonating a federal agent

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) Authorities in York County are searching for a woman accused of confiscating guest IDs at a Fort Mill hotel and claiming to work with the Secret Service. Rock Hill police say the woman later called the same hotel five times and claimed to be an FBI agent.

The York County Sheriff's Office is looking for 45-year-old Carma Leilani Ariel of Charlotte, N.C. She's been added to the list of accused criminals wanted by the county. She's wanted on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer, trespassing and giving false information.

The sheriff's office does not consider her dangerous or violent, but is warning anyone who sees her not to start a conversation.
