CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A new app released by the South Carolina Film Commission is for directors, producers and tourists and film buffs as well.

The app provides information on South Carolina locations, support services and production incentives so film makers can find the perfect place to make films, television shows and commercials.

The app, Film SC, also lists all films shot in the state during the past 100 years and can help travelers, visitors and film buffs find out where those films were shot.

Parks, Recreation and Tourism director Duane Parrish says the app will remind everyone how many films have been made in the state.

The app for Apple tablets and IPhones can be downloaded from the iTunes store.
