      SC soldier dies in Afghanistan

      The Pentagon is reporting that a South Carolina soldier based in Georgia as Afghanistan.

      COLUMBIA (WACH / AP) ?? The Pentagon is reporting that a South Carolina soldier has died in Afghanistan.

      The Department of Defense said that 43-year-0ld Chief Warrant Officer Curtis S. Reagan, of Summerville, died Friday in Kandahar, Afghanistan from a noncombat illness, however, did not provide any other details.

      Reagan was assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.

      Gov. Nikki Haley requests the flag be flown at half-staff on Saturday, April 6 in honor of Reagan.
