GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper has been fired after authorities say he fired at least four shots from his car at a home in Greenville County after he was drinking.
State Law Enforcement Division agents said 25-year-old Justin Gambrell was arrested shortly after the incident early Friday morning.
SLED did not release details on why Gambrell was shooting at the home.
Highway Patrol officials fired Gambrell after his arrest. He remains in the Greenville County jail with a $5,000 bond. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney and a message left with a listing at his home was not returned.
Gambrell is charged with firing a gun into a home and using a gun while under the influence of alcohol.
