CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The South Carolina Transportation Department has replaced its top financial officer in a shake-up following months of questions about the agency's cash flow problems.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reports the department has announced Angela Feaster will be replaced by Christy Hall as the deputy secretary for finance and administration.
Hall has worked for the department for 18 years, most recently as an administrator in Greenwood.Related Stories SCDOT gets grant amid agency financial concerns Haley calls for elimination of SC DOT board SC Senate panel looking into DOT funding problems SC DOT delaying $24M in paving work in 18 counties SC Transportation agency having trouble with bills
An agency spokesman said Transportation Secretary Robert St. Onge had planned a reorganization since being appointed last January.
The department sought a $52 million lump-sum payment in reimbursements from the federal government to help get caught up on money it owed contractors and on construction loans.
