LEXINGTON COUNTY (WACH) - It's getting warmer, which means fun days in the sun are ahead.
SCE&G said Friday that public parks on the Lexington and Irmo sides of the dam at Lake Murray are now open for the 2013 season.
Officials say the boat-launching park on the Irmo will remain open through Labor Day. The beach/recreation area on the Lexington side will remain open through Sept. 13. The public boat launch has two ramps and is open 24 hours a day.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Restrooms and picnic facilities are available.
Monday - Friday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. through May 4 (after May 4 open until 8 p.m.)
Weekend and Holiday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
