Columbia, S.C. (WACH)- The search continues for Lexington County's Michael George nearly three months after he vanished.
Helen George hasn't seen her son since just before Christmas and is hoping to get some good news soon."
"We need Mike home," said George. "He deserves to be home with his family and friends. His granddaddy is in the hospital and Mike needs to be here for him.
George, 22, was last seen two days before Christmas at Shooters sports bar on Charleston Highway. His car was found Christmas day on Beckman Road with no sign of Michael inside.
Investigators have spoken to a man who drove George home that night and have gotten leads since the, but, nothing has panned out.
Authorities say they are certain people know what happened to George but they are not talking.
"The individuals responsible better come forward or they may occupy a space in the detention facility along with other people," said Lexington County Sheriff James Metts.
A Facebook page has been set up for Michael George to keep his story alive. Friends and family also held a vigil for the father of two last month.
The group is also holding an awareness rally on Sunday, March 18, starting at 1pm at Shooter sports bar. Family members and friends plan to go door-to-door handing out flyers with Michael's picture on them to try to find out more information about the case.
