Second passenger dies after crash, driver charged with DUI

37-year-old Robert Craft is charged with felony DUI.

LEXINGTON (WACH)-- A second passenger has died after a weekend crash.

Coroner Harry O. Harman has confirmed that another child involved in the vehicle accident on Friday, October 28, 2011, on South Lake Drive in Lexington has died.

Haley Upchurch, age 10, had been hospitalized since the accident. Her brother, Cameron Upchurch, age 7, was pronounced dead at Lexington Medical Center on the day of the accident.

Troopers say the truck 37-year-old Robert Craft was driving slammed into a car turning into a private driveway.

Craft faces several charges including felony DUI and open container. He TMs currently in the Lexington County Detention Center.

An autopsy on Haley Upchurch has been scheduled for this morning.

The crash happened near the intersection of South Lake Drive and Foxborough Boulevard around 9:15 Friday evening.

A passenger in Craft TMs truck and 4 people in the other car, including two other children, were all taken to area hospitals.

The Lexington County Coroners Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the accident.
