An attorney has filed four lawsuits against the community, executive director Alicia Owens and other businesses, including Emeritus Corp., involving residents' treatment at Laurel Gardens Senior Living Community accusing these defendants of gross and corporate negligence, among other charges. One plaintiff says her mother didn't receive appropriate medication as ordered and suffered numerous falls and injuries due to negligence. Emeritus regional director of operations Kristi Anthony says the company takes the claims seriously and will respond when officials have reviewed the lawsuits.
