COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) -- A line of storms will move through the Midlands on Friday as a cold front passes.
A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH is in effect for the eastern Midlands until 2 p.m.
The main threat with this system is damaging winds. There is a good amount of wind energy in the lower levels of the atmosphere that could get mixed down to the surface with these storms.
The rain and storms should be moving out of the eastern Midlands around noon.
Drier air will move in behind the front. We will see some clearing this afternoon and evening.
This will give way to a nice weekend forecast.
We will keep you updated in the SkyWACH Weather Center should any watches or warnings be issued.
