COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Humidity will not be the only story for your Monday forecast. A tornado watch is in effect for some of the Midlands until 10 p.m.
Thunderstorms will fire up across South Carolina Monday afternoon and some could reach strong to severe limits.
Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere thanks to a southerly wind flow, plus a cold front approaching the state will make for the perfect ingredients for thunderstorms.
The main threat with these storms will be gusty winds.
Although chances are extremely slight, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
