Sheheen promoting ways to improve state at book signing

CAMDEN, SC (WACH)--Kershaw Co. Senator Vincent Sheheen was meeting dozens of constituents and shaking hands; but not for political reasons.

The former candidate for governor was at Books on Broad in Camden Sunday; signing copies of his new book The Right Way: Getting the Palmetto State back on track.

Sheheen said he has been working on the book for almost a year. He said it is a nonpartisan look at ideas on how to improve the state's economy, job growth, public schools, infrastructure, and government.

"I wrote it not about me, but about South Carolina and how we can make it better," Sheheen said. "It is exciting to travel around the state. It is about how we can create jobs in South Carolina from within; not just recruiting businesses. Whether you are Republican, Independent, or Democrat, if you are a reasonable person, there are a lot of ideas I think everyone can support."

Sheheen said the book also comes in electronic format. To learn more, click here.
