      Sheriff Leon Lott reopens 17 year old cold case

      Richland County Investigators have released a sketch of what the suspect looked like at the time of the murder.

      COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott asking for help to solve a 17 year old murder case.

      Investigators releasing a sketch of what the suspect looked like at the time of the murder.

      65 year old Jack Robinson was stabbed several times.

      Deputies found him at the Rosewood Boat Landing back in 1996.

      Robinson later died at Palmetto Health Richland hospital.

      Sheriff Leon Lott says the suspect was described as a Hispanic male with Olive complexion at the time of the murder.

      He was 25-35 years of age, approximately 5??5?? tall, 150-180 pounds, black hair, and a mustache at the time of the incident.

      Lott saying he could be between the age of 42-52 right now.

      Sheriff Lott says Robinson and the suspect were fighting over money and that its unclear whether the victim and the suspect knew each other.
