Skeletal remains found in Sumter are of unidentified white male
SUMTER, S.C. (WACH)-- Preliminary autopsy results indicate that the skeletal remains found in Sumter over the weekend are of a middle-aged white man.
According to the Sumter Police Department, an autopsy was performed in Newberry Tuesday morning after a group of kids found skeletal remains in a wooded area off of Gaines Road near Dillion Park Sunday.
The kids alerted their parents who then contacted authorities.
