Columbia (WACH) -- Unsettled weather is moving into the South Carolina just in time for Thanksgiving week.
An area of low pressure has been causing winter weather in parts of the plains and southeast, along with heavy rain.
Rain will move into the Palmetto State tonight and will remain a cold rain for areas along and east of the I-95 corridor.
Areas west into the Upstate, including the metro area, could see some sleet mix in with the rainfall overnight.
While you should always be careful on bridges and overpasses, this should not create major roadway problems for the Midlands and areas west.
A warm front will push our high temperatures on Tuesday into the lower 50s which should keep any threat for winter weather out of the forecast Tuesday night as the showers are expected to last through the early morning hours on Wednesday.
