Snow brings a first since 1940
Columbia (WACH/NWS) -- For the first time in 74 years Columbia has reported snowfall three consecutive days.
The last time this occured was in January of 1940.
The most consecutive days of snowfall in Columbia is four, which occurred in February of 1899.
While the heavy winter precip has moved our, light snow/flurries will continue today and tonight.
Another disturbance will move through Friday night into Saturday morning that could provide another round of snow to the Midlands.
