LEXINGTON, SC (WACH, AP) - Solicitor Donnie Myers will avoid appearing in court Thursday after paying a ticket for an alcohol related offense he was charged with last month.
Officials with the Lexington County Traffic Court confirmed that Donald V. Myers paid a $155 ticket Wednesday.
Myers, who is a longtime Lexington County prosecutor, was scheduled to appear in court June 14 after being stopped by the Highway Patrol for swerving just after 10 p.m. in Lexington County on May 25.
In the dash cam video, Myers tells a trooper he was swerving because he was listening to a college baseball game on the radio. Meyers passed the field sobriety test and was not charged with DUI.
Myers said he had two drinks and that his girlfriend left an alcoholic drink in his car.
He was charged with having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
