Columbia (WACH) -- The first full week of 2014 saw record cold across the Midlands to start the week.
Now, the SkyWACH Weather Team is keeping at â??WACHfulâ?? eye on the potential for severe thunderstorms on Saturday.
Warm, moist area has been filtering into the southeast since Friday.
A cold front is tracking across the Southeast, and is in track to begin moving through the Midlands Saturday afternoon.
The main threat with these thunderstorms will be damaging winds.
An isolated tornado cannot be entirely ruled out.
Thunderstorms should end by Saturday night and clouds will begin to slowly decrease into Sunday.
