State's first children's hospital gets signage

You can't miss Palmetto Health Children's Hospital now that a new roof-top sign is going up on the building.

The sign adds an identity to the state's first children's hospital.

Dr. Caughman Taylor says this is the final phase in a five-year labor of love.

"Come this summer, we will have been open two years and we are just now getting the sign up, and it's kind of a very special day for us to get the completion, or the icing on the cake," Taylor says.

The hospital treats more than 80,000 children a year.
