Still need to do some holiday shopping? Goodwill offering unbeatable deals

The Partners in the Power of Work luncheon will take place Feb. 13 at the Columbia Convention Center.

COLUMIBA (WACH) -- If you still need to do some holiday shopping there's a way you can get a good deal and help those in need at the same time. Just pick at that perfect gift from the Goodwill Store; it offers some unbelievable deals.

â??The deals are fantastic. Sometimes in our stores you'll even find brand new merchandise with the tag still on it, appliances still in the box, books and movies that have not yet been opened,â?? said Robin Ebert with Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands.

Thereâ??s something in Goodwill stores for everyone; men, women and children at real bargain prices. You can buy a pair of jeans for seven dollars, shirts for four dollars and sometimes cheaper.

When you spend money at Goodwill youâ??re also doing some good for your community. Your purchases are tied in with Goodwill's mission of giving people down on their luck a hand up.

â??Anytime you come into Goodwill and shop or you donate you are helping put people back to work and support our community,â?? according to Karma Grismore, a career services development team leader with the organization.

92 cents of every dollar spent or donated to Goodwill is used to accomplish its mission.

In February, the organization will honor its community partners during the partners in the powers of work luncheon. For more information on the luncheon, click here.
