COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) -- A strong cold front will bring the chance for storms early Friday.
The Storm Prediction Center has put much of South Carolina under a "slight risk" for severe storms on Friday.
The main threat is damaging winds.
The line of storms will approach the western Midlands around 7 a.m. Friday. A StormWACH Timeline graphic is attached to this story.
The cold front will move east of the Midlands around lunchtime. Clouds will decrease in the afternoon as drier air moves in behind the front.
