Police say that the thieves are headed straight for cash and leaving behind expensive items such as iPads and TVs.

The Local Buzz Coffee Shop, Rooftop Pizza, and Ole Timey Meats have all been hit in the early morning hours this week. Residents of the neighborhood also say that several homes have been broken into as well.

Surveillance video from security cameras at the Roof Top Pizza was able to capture three images. As of now, police do not know if the incidents are connected.

Officer Kevin Schmidt is a part of the local community response team and makes the Rosewood community a priority for crime inspections.

"I don't think they need to be alarmed. I think they need to be aware. If they feel that there's anything suspicious, they get that gut feeling that something is not right, they can just call us and let us come out and investigate. Stuff like that leads to arrests."

He also shared some simple tips to stay safe.

Installing security cameras and calling for a security survey where law enforcement officers can let you know if you need to do things like cut your shrubs or have extra lighting, can all be beneficial.

As the three businesses get back to work, owners say they need help from the community to put an end to the string of crimes.

If you would like to get more involved with what's happening in your community, Officer Schmidt says they offer what's known as Front Porch Roll Calls where residents meet with law enforcement regularly to hear what needs to be done specifically to stay safe in your area.

If residents would like to meet with officers, a Coffee with a Cop event will be held at the Local Buzz this Friday.
