      Sumter man faces attempted murder charge after shooting

      Sumter police arresting a man in connection to a shooting incident that injured two people over the weekend.

      SUMTER (WACH) -- Sumter Police arresting a man in connection to a shooting incident that injured two people over the weekend.

      Authorities say 19 year old Trevaughn Jackson was arrested Sunday morning.

      Police say at this point they believe a fight involving one of the victims is what caused the shooting that took place along the 1000 block of Dibert Street.

      Jackson faces several charges including two counts of attempted murder.

      He??s currently being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.

      At last check the victims were in stable condition at a local hospital.

      Jackson appeared before a magistrate today who set bond at $157,000 surety on the charges.
