UNION, S.C. (AP) -- Union County sheriff's investigators say the suspect in a stabbing death last weekend had been found in a Charlotte, N.C., hospital.
Sheriff David Taylor said Landon Blaine Turner has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of 29-year-old Ryan Allen.
Taylor says when Turner is released from the hospital he will be taken to the Mecklenburg County, N.C., jail to begin the extradition process to South Carolina.
Deputies were called to a disturbance Saturday night and found Allen, who was taken to Wallace Thomson Hospital where he died about an hour later. Union County Deputy Coroner John Fallaw said Allen was stabbed in his left shoulder.
Two other men were hurt.
Hospital staff in Charlotte alerted had authorities when Turner showed up with injuries from the fight.
