      Textile mill honored with bourbon and bowties

      <font size="2">Bourbon and bowtie event to celebrate the final days of the popular traveling exhibition.</font>

      COLUMBIA (WACH)- To celebrate the final days of the popular traveling exhibition, ?? Between the Springmaid Sheets ,?? the South Carolina State Museum is hosting ??Bourbon & Bowties.??

      The event will honor the inspiring rescue story of the Springs Cotton Mills, as well as local entrepreneurs and artisans, from 6 p.m. ?? 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 at the State Museum.

      ??Bourbon & Bowties is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the innovation behind the risqu advertising campaign that put Springs Cotton Mills on the map, as well as local entrepreneurs and artisans that make our state such a wonderful place live,?? said Paul Matheny, chief curator of art, South Carolina State Museum.

      Tickets to the event are $40 per person for general public and $30 per person for State Museum members.
