Three killed in early morning crash on I-26

Expect delays on I-26 due to fatal car accident

BOWMAN, S.C. (WACH/AP) - The Orangeburg County Coroner's Office said three people died after a tractor trailer ran off Interstate 26 and was torn apart after hitting several trees.

Troopers say the wreck happened around 3 a.m. Thursday near mile marker 164.

Orangeburg County Chief Deputy Coroner Sean Fogle said the three people who died from injuries in the crash were the driver 41 year-old Desmond L. Martin of West Park, FL, 18 year-old Christopher E. Everett and 3 year-old Davieâ??you Brown.

The trees sheared off the cab and trailer of the truck down to its frame. The contents of the truck ended up scattered all along the side of the highway.
