Three teens arrested in downtown shooting

      Tyquan Marquise Williams,17

COLUMBIA (WACH)- Columbia Police arrested three teenagers they say are involved with a shooting on King Street earlier in June.

Interim Police Chief Ruben Santiago said Shawn Eric Moody, 19, and Tyquan Marquise Williams, 17,a 15-year-old juvenile are charged with Two Counts of Attempted Murder.

A 15-year-old male is also charged in connection with the case.

Police investigators said the trio shot two men at the 1100 block of King and Bratton Street around 2:00 p.m. on June 10.

Police accuse the three of shooting the victims from the back of a car. One of the men was shot in the head. The other was shot in the leg. That victim was able to run to a nearby house where a citizen called EMS. Both victims were treated at a local hospital and released.

CPD believes the shooting was gang related. The suspects are known gang members. Police say they were looking to kill another gang member at the scene of the shooting.
