Tropical Depression Nine forms in eastern Atlantic

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Tropical Depression Nine forms near the west coast of Africa.
Forecasters at The National Hurricane Center say the depression is located about 190 miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands.
The maximum sustained winds are currently 30 mph and it is moving to the west at 12 mph.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the southern Cape Verde Islands as tropical storm force conditions are, in this case, expected within 24-36 hours.
This depression is expected to be a tropical storm by Monday and become the first hurricane of the 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
The name of this storm would be "Humberto."
Most of the major forecast models have this system staying out to sea and not affecting the United States.
