Columbia (WACH/NHC) -- As of 5:00 Thursday afternoon Tropical Storm Dorian remains well out in the Atlantic Ocean.
The storm has strengthened, but currently is not a immediate threat to anyone.
Because of this, no tropical storm watches or warnings have been issued.
Maximum sustained winds for Dorian are 60 mph as the storm continues to move west-northwest at 18 mph.
The latest forecast models continue to show a area of high pressure developing in the Atlantic which will cause Dorian to take a northerly turn early next week preventing the storm from making landfall in the U.S.
Despite this track, rip currents will be a concern along the east coast of the country.
