      Tweetdeck was hacked! Here's how you can protect your accounts

      COLUMBIA (WACH)??Tweetdeck, a third-party Twitter app, has been hacked this morning! Here??s how you can protect your Twitter accounts.

      If you use Tweetdeck for Google Chrome, you may have notice THIS tweet on your Timeline:

      {<}script class="xss"{>}$('.xss').parents().eq(1).find('a').eq(1).click();$('[data-action=retweet]').click();alert('XSS in Tweetdeck'){<}/script{>}?

      If so (and even if you didn't) undo the Retweet and follow these steps:

      • Log OUT of Tweetdeck (and delete it off of your computer or phone, if you can.)
      • Change your Twitter password.
      • Through the native Twitter application (or twitter.com), go to Settings, Apps, and Find Tweetdeck. Click REVOKE ACCESS.

      To prevent being affected by further attacks, always log out of your applications once you leave your computer on your phone.

      Were you affected by this hacking?
