Two arrested for armed robbery, assault and kidnapping at an Orangeburg T-Mobile store

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Two suspects were arrested in connection with an armed robbery this morning.
Employees working at The T-Mobile Store on Saint Matthews Road in Orangeburg called police just after 11:00 Friday morning to report that they had been robbed at gun point, assaulted, and bound with duct tape. The Columbia Police Department working together with The Richland County Sheriffâ??s Department we were able to arrest the suspects a Columbia motel less than three hours later.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says â??These thugs went through a great deal of planning and expensive to come from Columbia to Orangeburg County to steal and abuse law abiding citizens. If they put that much effort into being productive citizens, they wouldnâ??t be sitting in jail right now.â??
The suspectâ??s names will be released once warrants have been obtained. Charges are expected to be armed robbery, assault, kidnapping, and felony possession of a weapon.
