Two arrested in Columbia shooting

Larry "AJ" Bowman, wanted for murder

COLUMBIA (WACH)--Columbia police have made arrests in connection to a shooting at Bentley Apartments.

According to Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott, officers arrested Tyrone D. Pope and Larry A. Bowman for murder in the shooting death of 30-year-old Lorenzo Jackson at the Bentley at Broad River Apartments.

Officials say around 7 a.m. on Wednesday Jackson was shot multiple times outside of his apartment after having a brief argument with Bowman and Pope.

Bowman and Pope fled from the scene in an older model light blue four door sedan.

Pope turned himself in to Kershaw County Sheriff TMs Deputies and Columbia Investigators at the Kershaw County Sheriff TMs Office Wednesday afternoon without incident and is currently being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Police were still looking for Bowman until Thursday afternoon when he was arrested without incident.

Officials are also trying to find family members of Jackson. His last known address was in Cleveland, OH. He may have relatives in Pageland, TX. If you can help, call the Richland County Coroner's Office at 803-576-1799.
