COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? Two more arrests have been made in connection to last summerâ??s shooting incident at the Colony Apartments that injured a 4-year-old girl.

Aaron Maurice Battle, 30, and Anthony Leroy Doctor, 23, are charged with Possession of a Weapon by Person Convicted of a Violent Crime, and unlawful carrying of a Pistol.

Columbia Police Department Investigators believe the men were occupants of a 2010 Dodge Charger and actively exchanged gunfire with suspects who were allegedly firing at them.

Last July, Marcus Gantt, 22, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Investigators say Gantt intentionally shot at the Dodge Charger in an attempt to strike the occupants.

As a result, a 4-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet while she watched TV in her home on Bailey Street on July 8, 2013. The child has recovered from her injuries.

Doctor and Gantt are validated gang members. Investigators believe the shooting may have been gang motivated in that the suspects are rival gang members.
