UPDATE: Victims identified in Hartsville plane crash

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Just after 7:00 Saturday evening a small plane crashed on Fox Hollow Road in darlington County as it was trying to land at the nearby Hartsville Regional Airport.

According to Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd, three people were killed in the crash. They've been identified as Joseph Melton, 29, and his father-in-law 61 year old George Rogers of Society Hill. Also killed was 75 year old Leslie Bradshaw of Hartsville. Sheriff Wayne Byrd says a 911 call came in around 6:40pm that evening to report problems with the landing gear. The sheriff believes that call came from either a family member or friend of the victims.
