      USC grad creates social media site to connect fans

      COLUMBIA (WACH)--Just in time for the University of South Carolina and Florida University football matchup, a USC graduate launches a new social media website to help fans connect with friends and family before and while at the game.

      This week, University of South Carolina Graduate and Columbia resident, Jack Dietrich, launched TagSeats.

      At, fans can connect their Facebook accounts or quickly create a profile, tag their seats on the interactive seating map, and easily share that theyâ??re going to the game across their social networks.

      Dietrich, the Founder and CEO of TagSeats, had the idea for the startup while completing his law and MBA degrees at the University of South Carolina and attending football games. â??I was planning a trip to the SEC Championship in 2010, and didnâ??t have a simple way to see which of my friends were going or find tickets near them.â??

      Dietrich pitched his idea and built a small team of web developers at a weekend hackathon in 2011, called Charlotte Startup Weekend. The TagSeats team includes Clemson University and College of Charleston graduates.
