COLUMBIA (WACH)-- Hereâ??s a look at some of the stories weâ??re working on for tonight.
Richland County deputies say the Irmo man accused of shooting and killing his wife and a family friend should appear in court this week. Investigators say Brett Parker murdered his wife Tammy and family friend Bryan Capnerhurst in his Ascot Estates home. Officials say Parker could be in court as early as Wednesday.
The Richland County Coronerâ??s Office has identified a man found dead in a wooded area off Fairfield Road Sunday as 21-year-old James Shepard. Investigators say Shepard was shot. At this point, no arrests have been made in the case.
An Orangeburg County church congregation is on edge, after someone has been changing the letters on the churchâ??s sign to spell offensive comments. Over the weekend, someone changed the letters on the side outside Salem Baptist Church in North to spell out a racial slur. A few days before, someone changed the sign to spell out an expletive. Orangeburg County deputies are investigating.
