FORT JACKSON (WACH) -- If you're a civilian and have always wanted to see what goes on behind the gates of the nation's largest Army training base, you're in luck.
Maj. Gen James Milano is inviting the public to an up-close and personal tour of Fort Jackson.
During the tour, you'll get to see soldiers in training as well as day to day operations. In addition, visitors will learn to shoot an M16A2 in a simulator and eat what the soldiers eat.
The tour will last five hours on May 19. It starts at 7:45 a.m.
