Washington lawmakers meeting in Columbia

Federal lawmakers will be in Columbia on Tuesday to discuss Washington decisions on South Carolina business.

COLUMBIA (WACH / AP) â?? Congress is not in session this week, but many of South Carolinaâ??s law makers will be working in Columbia on Tuesday, talking about business.

Lindsey Graham

and Congressmen Jim Clyburn, Trey Gowdy, Mick Mulvaney and Tom Rice are taking part in Washington Night on Tuesday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Lincoln Street.

Over 200 businesspeople from around the state are expected to take part in the discussion about how the decisions that the federal government makes impact business in South Carolina. Health care, free trade, and energy are also expected to be part of the conversation.

Graham is discussing immigration reform with members of the state's evangelical community during a meeting at his Columbia office prior to the forum at the Convention Center.
