LEXINGTON, SC (WACH) - A West Columbia woman has been arrested and charged with felony DUI after police say she killed one person and injured another in a car crash Sunday morning shortly before 11:00 a.m.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Catherine Crumley was driving on the 700 block of Old Barnwell Road near the intersection of Collumwood Circle when she swerved left of center, side-swiped a vehicle and then crashed head-on with a motorcycle.
According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, the man driving a 2000 Harley Davidson has been identified as 65-year-old Larry Edgar Williams. Fisher says Williams was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene due to the injuries he received. According to the Coroner, Williams was not wearing a helmet.
