What you need to know about the Primary Runoff on Tuesday

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Well the dust has settled from the Primary elections earlier this month.

With that we see there are two positions whose candidates have yet to be solidified because the Primary results were so close.

Those two positions are Lieutenant Governor and the State Superintendant of Education.

When it comes to the Lieutenant Governor spot, the runoff will be to determine the Republican candidate come November.

The Republican candidates in the run-off are Mike Campbell and Henry McMaster.

But when it comes to the State Superintendent of Education position, the runoff will determine the Republican and Democratic candidate.

The Republicans in the run-off are Sally Atwater and Molly Spearman.

The Democrats in the run-off are Sheila Gallagher and Tom Thompson.

The run-off on Tuesday will determine the winner in each of these three spots to see who advances to the November ballot.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Tuesday for you to cast your vote.

Keep in mind you can only vote for the party you voted for in the Primaries.

Also, make sure you have the proper idenitifcation on you.

You will be asked to show either your South Carolina driver's license, your South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles ID card, your South Carolina Voter Registration card with a photo, your federal military ID, or your US passport.
