LEXINGTON, SC (WACH) - White Knoll High School is being dismissed and the building is being evacuated Monday as a precaution due to what authorities believe to be a prank bomb threat.
Lexington School District One Chief Communications Officer Mary Beth Hill released a statement just before noon Monday saying the decision to dismiss school and evacuate the building was made "in light of everything happening across the world."
Hill says students who drive to school will get into their cars and leave immediately along with the buses. Car riders will wait for their parents across the street at Life Springs Church.
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has been notified, and Hill says every student has been accounted for.
