Wed, 12 Feb 2014 00:18:13 GMT —
Columbia (WACH) -- A WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued for all of the Midlands until Noon on Thursday.
An area of low pressure moving along the coast in the Atlantic is helping to bring in moisture throughout the southeast.
That, along with cold, Canadian air moving into the area will make for a significant winter weather threat.
Temperatures are expected to stay around 32 degrees in the Midlands along south of the I-20 corridor bringing a threat for freezing rain.
Ice accumulation could lead to downed trees and power lines, and power outages.
The safest thing you can do is stay off the roads as ice is the most serious weather threat during the winter months.
WACH Fox News and the SkyWACH Weather Team will have continuous updates on-air and online.
