Wintry Weather for Midlands This Week?

Columbia (WACH) -- Wintry weather will once again make its way into the Midlands early this week.

Precipitation type looks to be a little sloppy this time, starting as rain Tuesday, and switching over to sleet Tuesday night.

The main threat of this weather system will be freezing rain, which will start Wednesday.

Freezing rain will make travel difficult through the day Wednesday, and power outages will also be an issue for some.

Ice accumulation amounts are still a little tricky at this time, as the track of the system has a lot to do with it.

Be aware that any amount of ice on roadways will make travel hazardous.

No watches or warnings have been posted at this time, but that could change in the next 24 hours.
