COLUMBIA (WACH) - There is a Bill gaining traction at the State House that would affect how many days your child has to go to school this year.
House Bill 4576 proposes the governing body of a school district could waive the requirement that schools make up full days missed due to inclement weather.
Now the requirement could only be waived for up to five days missed.
Any more after that would have to be made up.
This also applies to charter schools and certain home schooling programs.
