COLUMBIA (WACH) - Former Gamecock wide receiver Bruce Ellington's NFL dreams have come true.

Ellington was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the 106th pick in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Ellington a two-sport athlete at South Carolina started his college career on the basketball court before joining the Gamecock football team.

He led the Gamecocks with 49 catches for 775 yards and eight touchdowns this past season. Ellington finished his football career with 106 catches for 1,586 yards and 16 touchdowns, seventh on South Carolina's all-time list.

Ellington caught six passes for 140 yards and a touchdown and the former high school QB threw a touchdown pass in this yearâ??s Capital One Bowl.

The former Gamecock skipped his final seasons of basketball and football to enter the NFL Draft.
