Jackie Bradley Jr. will be sent down to Triple-A Pawtucket to make room for David Ortiz.
Fri, 19 Apr 2013 19:45:21 GMT — BOSTON, MA (WACH)- After a terrific spring, former Gamecock and current Boston Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. is being sent back to the minors to make room for David Ortiz, who returns from the disabled list. He will head to Triple-A Pawtucket. Bradley Jr. was batting just .097 (3-for-31) with one double and three RBI in 12 games. His last hit came on April 5. This will be Bradley Jr.'s first stint in Triple-A. He spent 2012 in Single-A Salem and Double-A Portland.
